Cancel a customer’s subscription

What is it & why you need it

Previously, you could only delete a customer’s subscription. This would remove access from the customer but not update the info to the payment gateway used. As a result, you’d have to manually update the subscription status.

Now, you can easily cancel a customer’s subscription from your admin dashboard. Canceling will not remove product access immediately and will wait until the next renewal date. As a result, users will continue to have access during their subscribed period as well as any grace period.

Furthermore, the subscription status will be updated to the payment gateway automatically without manual intervention. This will help to prevent charging customers wrongly for future payments.

How to get started using it

To cancel a subscription, go to Users -> Students.

Click the Enrollments option of any student to see all products they are enrolled in.

From here, you can cancel any subscription-based product. Simply click the three dots and select Cancel Enrollment. And then confirm again on the confirmation popup.

Again, canceling will not remove access immediately. The customer will lose access to the product when the next renewal is supposed to happen.

In case of removing access immediately, choose the Delete Enrollment option instead of cancel. This will remove product access instantly and also update the subscription status so no future payments are made through the gateway used.
