Gifting Courses

What is it & why you need it

The Course Gifting feature lets students or customers purchase a course as a gift for someone else, directly from the checkout page. The course is delivered straight to the receiver’s email address with clear instructions to access it instantly.

This will turn your courses into giftable products, making them easy to share during promotions, holidays, special occasions, team rewards, etc. It could also help in reaching new audiences, ultimately increasing conversions and sales effortlessly.

How to get started using it

You have to first enable the gift setting for the particular course that customers can purchase as a gift. To do that, go to Courses -> All Courses -> and then click the Edit button on the course you want to enable for gifting.

From there, go to the Setting tab from the top navbar.

Next, go to the Advanced information menu and tick mark the Enable gifting option.

Save to keep the changes and a gifting option will appear on the checkout page of the course.

With gifting enabled, your customers or students (registered or unregistered) can see the gifting option on the checkout page. Note that the gifting feature will only show for the one-time (standard & B2B) pricing model.

Clicking the button will make a popup appear. Customers can simply give the email address of the receiver and write a message if they want.

They can edit the info before making the purchase, in case needed.

Finally, purchasing the course will complete the gifting process. This will automatically send the course as a gift to the receiver’s inbox. It doesn’t matter whether the receiver is registered on your website or not.

The receiver can accept the gift directly from their inbox.

From the inbox, they’ll be redirected to a custom page if the receiver is already registered on your platform. From there, they can go to their dashboard and access the course.

If unregistered, the receiver will first be redirected to a page where they can sign up on your platform. After signing up, they’ll see the same custom page and can start viewing the course.
