Tracking Consent Setting

You can take tracking consent from visitors on your website within the cookie modal. This controls whether your platform waits for a visitor’s permission before running tracking for Meta, GA4, and GTM.

To enable the setting, log in to your EzyCourse dashboard and navigate to Site Settings -> General Settings -> and go to the Cookies setting tab.

First, enable the Cookies Setting. This will show the cookie modal section on your website.

Now, enable the tracking consent setting. Make sure you save both settings to keep the changes.

With both settings enabled, visitors are actually giving you the consent to track their data when they are accepting cookies from the modal. If they do not accept cookies then it will not track.

On the other hand, if you choose to keep the consent setting disabled, then the tracking will occur automatically without visitors accepting cookies. To check if the setting is working, go to a page on your website -> open the inspect window (Ctrl + Shift + I) -> go to the Network tab.

If you have the cookie and consent settings enabled, then you can accept cookies and you’ll see some type of properties show up. For example, “trigger“ or “tr“ for Meta, “gtag“ for GTM, and “collect“ for GA4. This means tracking is working.

Note: This feature is only necessary when you are using tracking features such as Meta, Google Analytics, or Google Tag Manager.
