Draft Mode & Publishing Pages

The builder 2.0 supports auto saving for ease of use. Every time you move something, it automatically saves a draft version. And with version control, you can go back to any previous version with a click of a button.

This means you can freely edit and build your page in draft mode without affecting the live version. Your live page stays untouched until you’re ready to publish the changes.

Editing in Draft Mode vs. Publishing

First, go to Website Builder -> Pages. From there, go to build any existing page or you can create a new page.

Inside the builder, any changes you make whether a text, or moving a piece of content; you’ll see the auto-saving feature in effect instantly.

You can view all the saved versions from the Versions menu of the left sidebar. Click to go back to any previous version.

This auto saving feature helps to keep your page in draft without any effect on the live page. Below, we show a side by side view of the live page vs. the preview page. Notice that the preview page is showing the updated version, while the live page still has the previous text content because we didn’t publish the page.

The only way your editing will affect the live page is if you click the Publish button on the top right corner of your screen.
