Events and Appointments: Add to Calendar
What is it and why you need it
EzyCourse allows your students to add their registered events and appointments to their personal calendars. They can add calendar details directly to Google, Outlook, or Yahoo Calendar, or download an .ics file as well.
How to get started using it
To display the calendar options in your EzyCourse email notifications, you need to add the appropriate placeholder to the email template you want to use. To do that, log in to your dashboard and go to Site Settings → Transactional Emails.

For Appointment Emails
You can add the {{{add_to_calendar}}}placeholder to these following appointment email templates:
APPOINTMENT_BOOKING_CONFIRMED
APPOINTMENT_BOOKING_REMINDER
APPOINTMENT_BOOKING_RESCHEDULED

The {{{add_to_calendar}}} variable must be added inside an HTML block.

When the email is sent, EzyCourse replaces the {{{add_to_calendar}}} placeholder with the available Google, Outlook, and Yahoo Calendar options.

Both teachers and students can add the appointment details directly to their calendars.

Students can also download the .ics file from their Dashboard → Appointments & Events and click the appointment card.

Click Add to Calendar to find the Apple/Outlook (.ics). The .ics file can be opened with Apple Calendar, Outlook desktop, and other compatible calendar apps.

For Event Emails
You can add the {{{add_to_calendar}}} placeholder to these following event email templates:
NEW_EVENT
EVENT_REMINDER

Like the appointment template, the {{{add_to_calendar}}} variable must also be added inside an HTML block.

The {{{add_to_calendar}}} placeholder displays the available calendar options: Google, Outlook, or Yahoo Calendar. Using these, students can add the event details directly to their calendars.

Students can also download the .ics file from their Dashboard → Appointments & Events and click the Events card. The .ics file can be opened with Apple Calendar, Outlook desktop, and other compatible calendar apps.
[Note: Only registered students can see the Add to Calendar button.]
