We couldn’t wait any longer to share this exciting news with you guys! Now, you can go live and engage with your audience in real-time, reach a wider audience thanks to the restreaming option, and add a new revenue stream to your platform. It’s all possible with our new Live Stream feature!
Access the new feature from your dashboard. Go to Products -> Live.
To create a new live stream, click the Create live button on the top right corner of your screen.
Here, you can give the name and add descriptions. When you scroll down, you’ll see that you can create three types of live stream.
External is for using other platforms like Google Meet to conduct your live stream. With iframe, you have to paste an iframe code. In terms of YouTube, for example, you have to create the live stream first, and then get the iframe code and paste it on EzyCourse to go live.
For the purpose of this article, we’ll go into extensive detail how to use the Built in live type. So, select the type to be Built in.
Other settings include enabling live chat, controlling accessibility settings, and selecting the audience. Pick the date-time and choose the timezone. When done, click the Create live button to create the live on your platform.
On the next page, you can set the pricing for this live stream. For now, we will skip the pricing and keep it free.
Now, when you go to Products -> Live, you should see the newly created stream.
Going Live on a Streaming Software
When you create a Built in live stream, you’ll have to first go live on a streaming software like OBS, Streamlabs, etc. To do that, click the Go Live button on the stream you created in your dashboard.
On the popup, you’ll see a live URL and a Steam key. You have to copy them.
Now, go to your streaming software or the Streamlabs in our case. Click the settings icon. Then select Stream and choose the stream type to be Custom Streaming Server. Paste the stream URL and the key which you copied from the EzyCourse dashboard. And click on Done.
Now, click the Go Live button on the streaming software.
Once you go live, you can head over to your EzyCourse dashboard and copy the stream URL to share with your audience. To view the stream, click the View Stream button.
Did you know that you can also take your viewing experience to next level with live-chat while streaming? Connect, share and immerse yourself in real time conversations with your viewers all without leaving the action.
Restreaming on Twitch
You have the luxury of streaming to other platforms. To restream on other platforms, you need two things: a URL and a stream key.
To restream on twitch, login to your account and go to Creator Dashboard.
Then select Settings -> Stream -> and you’ll find the Primary Stream key which you have to copy and paste on your EzyCourse dashboard.
To get the RTMPS URL, please follow this link: https://help.twitch.tv/s/twitch-ingest-recommendation?language=en_US. And copy the URL relevant to your location.
[Note: Replace the “{stream_key}”with the Primary stream key which you find on Twitch.]
Now, go back to your EzyCourse dashboard and click the Restream button on the stream. Paste the RTMPS URL and the Primary stream key on the popup, after clicking the Add new source button. Click the Save to complete the process.
