New Automation Triggers: Chapter & Lesson Completion
The automation workflow feature lets you automate your email campaigns and target the audience more effectively.
And with the Internal Task Automation addon, you have more triggers and actions, ultimately allowing you to create more personalized workflows. The latest additions to the feature are two new triggers that will help you to target students that complete a specific chapter or lesson inside a course.
You can use these triggers to motivate students right after they complete a certain chapter or lesson. Congratulate them instantly, offer guidance, or encourage them to keep going - all automatically.
How to get started using it
Make sure you have the Internal Task Automation addon on your site. If you don’t then get it at an extra 5% OFF now as part of our 2025 year-ending sale.
To use the triggers, head over to Marketing & Contacts -> Automation Workflows on your admin dashboard. This is where you’ll find all the automations you create.

You can either create a new workflow or edit an existing one.

Click the Trigger option and open the “all triggers” panel on the right side of your screen. Scroll down and you’ll find the two new triggers under the Internal Task Automation addon section.

“Someone complete a chapter” trigger lets you can choose the specific course and the particular chapter for which the automation will be triggered.

Click the Add Trigger button to add.

The “Someone complete a lesson” works similarly. You just have to choose the course and chapter first, and then select any particular lesson under the selected chapter.

You can then create workflows with all the different actions such as split test, adding tags, using if-else, triggering webhook, etc.
